Nahavand carpets: This type of handmade carpets is knotted in the northwestern part of Persia. The carpet is roughly knotted with shiny wool and its style is very close to the nomadic concept. The colours are usually red or blue on ivory ground, with pattern consisting elements of nomadic and geometric motifs. Medallions of flowers can also be placed, usually at the center of the rug.
