Ardakan carpets: This type of carpets is manufactured in the capital city of Ardakan, at Yazd Province in Iran. Ardakan carpets have a similar resemblance to the carpets of Kashan and Yazd. They consist of an intricate central medallion bordered by floral motifs, grapevines and garden elements. The fabric used, is made of wool with a foundation of cotton. The style of Ardakan carpets follows the principals of classicism and tradition, in carpet weaving.
