Lori Bakhtiar: This special category of handmade carpets are made by nomad tribes in southwestern Iran. The main motif used by the artists is a pure geometric form, such as a triangle,rectangle or a square, repeated in all over the surface of the carpet and depicted in a more primitive way, inspired by the environment, in which the nomads live in. The predominate colors in these carpets are: deep red, dark blue, combined sometimes with white contours, in order for the artist to give more ''light'' to the composition.
