Koliaei: This particular category of handmade rugs has been created by nomads in the north of Iran, south of the Caspian Sea. Their style consists in the use of mainly geometric patterns, on a smaller scale, not scattered, such as triangles, rectangles and octagons, given in a more primitive and simplistic way, which can frame small plant or animal forms from the natural environment. It is no coincidence that the style of these rugs is inspired by the natural way of life of the wandering nomads. The pale is soft and dense, while the warp is usually made of cotton. The most common colors used to decorate the motifs are deep dark blue and the red of the wine, while the motifs are usually framed by white thick contours, which give ''light''to the synthesis. They are really durable carpets.
