Hamedan: The city of Hamedan, placed in the Northern West Persia, is famous for its colorful rugs and its variety of designs and motifs, as they are manufactured in more than 500 villages. The wool, as the main material, is of high quality, durable and therefore suitable for extensive use. Most of Hamedan rugs have geometric motifs and they belong to the nomadic style category of handmade carpets.
